Q12601 - HOWTO: How do I uninstall Second Copy service?

If you do not want Second Copy to run as a service you can uninstall it as follows:

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Select Run.
  3. Enter "cmd" in the Open box and click on OK. This will open another window with a command prompt.
  4. Type "cd \Program Files" without the quotes.
  5. Type "cd SecCopy" without the quotes.
  6. Type "scsvc /uninstall" without the quotes and hit Enter. This will uninstall Second Copy to run as a service. It will also remove it from the list of services in the Services component of the Administrative Tools.

Note: For Windows Vista: Typing "cmd" without the quotes in Start -> Start Search works also.
