Even when a folder is specified to be excluded from the profile, Second Copy scans within that folder which could result in unrelated errors such as access violation. This bug was reported in Second Copy 7, build 163. We will fix this bug in a future build of Second Copy. Meanwhile, here is a workaround:
1. Right mouse click on the profile and select Properties
2. Go to the "Which files?" tab by clicking on the Next button
3. Remove the asterisks after the folder path in the Exclude specification
Note: The Exclude statements should have the folder path followed by the ending backslash "\"
4. Click on Next button until Finish so that the profile will be saved with the changes
